I was pleased to read about the continued success of the Time for Citizenship internet project and the excellent work that has been done to make it such a useful portal for schools worldwide. Since its launch in 1999, the increasing number of schools. both nationally and internationally, who have registered with the site prove that it has been a worthy and well received project.
Quite clearly, this website has proved to be a great way of bringing together examples of good practice and has provided inspiration to thousands of children throughout the UK and beyond. It's always pleasing to highlight schools that have shown initiative and creativity in making positive changes to pupils' lives and the wider school community. I hope others will take the opportunity to adapt and build upon the good practice and ideas available on this site.
